Clinical Practice & Approach

Dr Subhas provides comprehensive, evidence-based assessment and management of sleep and respiratory-related sleep disorders, with a strong focus on accurate diagnosis, individualised treatment planning, and collaborative care with referring GPs.

Her clinical approach is patient-centred and methodical, integrating detailed clinical history, objective sleep testing, and current best-practice guidelines to guide management. She has a particular interest in optimising long-term outcomes, supporting adherence to therapy (including CPAP where appropriate), and addressing the broader cardiometabolic and psychosocial consequences of disordered sleep.

Dr Subhas works closely with referring practitioners to ensure clear communication, timely feedback, and practical management recommendations, supporting continuity of care within the general practice setting.

Background & Training

Dr Subhas graduated from Monash University and completed her basic physician training at Peninsula Health. She subsequently undertook advanced physician training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Monash Health, and Barwon Health, which included a 12‑month sleep fellowship. Through this training, Dr Subhas gained broad experience across the specialty, particularly in the management of a wide range of sleep disorders. Outside of medicine, she enjoys travelling.
