Sebastian is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with several years of clinical experience helping people with chronic conditions improve their health through evidence-based exercise prescription and sustainable lifestyle change. As the Exercise Physiologist on the TREX clinical trial at The University of Western Australia, Sebastian has extensive experience translating emerging research into practical treatment plans that help patients preserve muscle, improve physical function and achieve long-term health outcomes. Having worked with patients across hospital, outpatient and private practice settings, Sebastian’s approach is collaborative, individualised and evidence-based, creating an environment where patients can build confidence, improve movement, enhance quality of life and achieve meaningful improvements in their health. Sebastian has a particular interest in supporting patients using GLP-1 medications to minimise muscle loss through targeted exercise prescription. His other clinical interests include metabolic health and exercise for cardiovascular health. Sebastian values working closely with GPs, physicians and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated, high-quality care. He welcomes communication with referring doctors to ensure the best possible outcomes for every patient.
Background, Training & Education
Sebastian holds a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Research), a Graduate Diploma in Diabetes Education and is an ASCA Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach. He was also awarded a PhD scholarship at The University of Western Australia, reflecting his commitment to integrating the latest research into clinical practice.
